Connie Crothers
Connie Crothers (born May 2, 1941 in Palo Alto, California) is a jazz pianist. She majored in music at the University of California, Berkeley before becoming a student of Lennie Tristano.〔(New Artists Records )〕 After his death she became President of the Lennie Tristano Jazz Foundation.〔(Lennie Tristano: his life in music by Eunmi Shim, pg 122 )〕 She is also known for works done with Max Roach in the 1980s, such as the album ''Swish''.〔(Madame Jazz: Contemporary Women Instrumentalists by Leslie Gourse, pg 221 )〕
As a leader she headed a quartet with Richard Tabnik and Roger Mancuso.〔(Time Out New York )〕
